Byzentine is the artistic project of Vicente Arenillas: DJ, selector and sound engineer based in Ibiza. His sound traces a trajectory of precision — slowly-built melodic techno, dense-textured electronics that breathe. Technically trained in London and refined through weekly residencies in Quito, since 2019 he operates in Ibiza with an uncommon dual perspective: the artist who constructs the emotional arc of the set, and the engineer who reads SPL, room acoustics and sound system behaviour. Byzentine does not compete with the space. He inhabits it.

His trajectory is not linear: it is built in layers, across cities, sound systems and scenes that could not be more different from one another. Sofia (2001–2008) is the starting point: first sets, first residency, learning the meaning of time and dancefloor. London (2008–2015) is technical formation — sound engineering and production at Point Blanc School — and active participation in the underground through the Musa Underground cycle, where a curatorial vision grounded in internal set coherence and spatial reading is consolidated. Quito (2015–2019) is the endurance test: a weekly residency at Dirty Sanchez, We Love Mondays cycle, for four consecutive years. An exercise in artistic stamina that few formats offer. Ibiza (2019–present) is the current stage. From here, Byzentine develops a proposition where music sits between slow-building melodic techno and dense-textured electronics. Sets designed for contexts of high aesthetic demand: sunsets, after-sunsets, dinner sessions, private events and high-level clubbing. Technical experience is not a complement: it is structural to the proposition. With over a decade as a sound engineer and technician in Ibiza — across demanding environments including major festivals, permanent installations and self-produced events — Byzentine operates with SPL control, acoustic room reading, dynamic system management and absolute respect for the overall client experience.
